Marvelous Mondays
(Formerly known as Wonderful Wednesdays)

As a service to the families of our community, members of our congregation offer elementary-age children a tutoring and activities program after school on Mondays during the school year.

Our activity leaders are a mixture of current and former teachers and principals, persons with tutoring experience in Jefferson County schools, and other professionals and student aids. They are able to tutor elementary school students in language arts, math, science, and geography, and will also lead the children in games, art projects, character education, and other activities through the afternoon.

Tutoring begins at 4:15 p.m., with other activities starting at 4:45. A light supper is served at 5:35 p.m. and the students are dismissed at 6:00.

This program also operates with financial help from a grant from the Jefferson County Kentucky Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Space is limited to 25 students. You may register a child by calling the church office.
