Join Michael Hollins and our adult Christian Growth and Fellowship discussion group today for the third session of a study entitled “A Season of Hope and Anticipation: Advent Themes in the Four Gospels. “The group meets on the altar area immediately after the worship service”  and would welcome your participation.

The Sunday School children have begun rehearsing for the Children’s Christmas program. This year’s program will star all of our youngest girls as Mary and our youngest boys as Joseph in “Joseph Dearest, Mary Mine.”  If you would like the children in your care to participate in the program please plan to have them at Sunday School regularly.  Additional rehearsals will be held on Saturday, December 19 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and on the morning of the program beginning at 8:45 a.m. The program will be presented on December 20 during the worship service. A light lunch will be served after the service by the youth and the Dorcas Circle with all donations benefitting our youth travel fund.

Our Food Pantry – The next Food Pantry will be held Wednesday, December 16 (Note, 3rdWednesday). The Food Pantry is ALWAYS in need of contributions – rice and pasta in pound packages and jars/cans of spaghetti/pasta sauce, canned goods such as vegetables, beans, fruits, peanut butter, and tuna are always needed.  Monetary gifts are also greatly appreciated! As always, thanks for your continuing support of this Redeemer outreach initiative.  Project Compassion will be providing free, confidential HIV testing December 16, during the food pantry distribution.

Assemble Fruit Baskets  - If you would like to help assemble & deliver Fruit baskets to our shut-ins, we will be assembling them this Saturday, December 12, at 10:00 a.m.

The Redeemer youth are selling certificates for Krispy Kreme doughnuts!   Each certificate is $8.00 and are good for a dozen of regular glazed doughnuts from your friendly Krispy Kreme Doughnut shop.   They will make great Christmas gifts for your family, friends, neighbors and your children’s school teachers.   How about purchasing certificates so you can pick up doughnuts  to brighten your  coworker’s day!    Please consider purchasing 1, 2, 3, 4 or more certificates!    The funds will primarily benefit the upcoming youth trip to Cincinnati, OH.   If you have any questions, speak with Frankie Oliver or Pam Snyder.   The youth appreciate all of your support to infinity and beyond, as they say in Toy Story.  Orders need to be turned in by TODAY!

Non-Perishable items for Christmas Boxes – If you were unable to bring non-perishable food, paper goods, cleaning supplies, etc. for the Christmas boxes you may still do so. All donations should be brought by Sunday, December 13 or no later than Friday, December 18.  If any of our members know of a family who could use a Christmas box, please let the church office know as soon as possible (Giving their name, address, phone number and how many are in their family) so we can plan accordingly.
